Well, let me tell ya ’bout these car lift hydraulic pumps, ya know, the things that make them cars go up and down in the garages. I ain’t no fancy expert, but I’ve seen a thing or two, and I can tell ya what’s what.

Then there’s the size of the pump, ya see? Gotta match it to the lift. If you got a big ol’ truck, you need a big ol’ pump. If it’s just a little car, a little pump will do. They measure it in somethin’ called “cubic inches capacity“, sounds fancy, but it just means how much fluid it can pump.

I heard tell of pumps that are inside the fuel tank of a car, somethin’ about a Dodge Diesel lift pump. Now that’s a whole ‘nother story, ain’t got nothin’ to do with liftin’ the whole car, just the fuel. But it’s still a pump, ya see? They got all kinds of pumps everywhere you look.

Some folks, they like to do things themselves, build their own lifts and such. They talk about self-contained hydraulic systems and external hydro pumps. Sounds complicated to me. I reckon it’s best to leave that to the fellas who know what they’re doin’. Unless you’re real handy, ya know.

Now, if you’re lookin’ to buy one of these pumps, you gotta think about what you need it for. Like if you got a big ol’ truck, you might need a Toyota Tundra suspension lift kit and a pump that can handle that weight. And you gotta think about if you want wheels-free service, ya know, so you can take the tires off and such.

And don’t forget the pressure, measured in somethin’ called psi. The higher the psi, the stronger the pump. Some pumps got like 10k psi, that’s a lot of pressure, enough to lift a heavy car no problem.

Anyways, that’s about all I know about these car lift hydraulic pumps. It ain’t rocket science, ya see? Just a pump that makes things go up and down. But you gotta pick the right one for the job, or you’ll be in a heap of trouble.
