Well now, let’s chew the fat about gettin’ one of them car lifts in your garage, ya hear? Folks call it a “home garage with car lift,” sounds fancy, but it ain’t rocket science. It’s just a way to lift your car up so you can poke around underneath, like them fellas in the shops do.

And there are them fancy ones that stack your cars, like cordwood! They call ’em “Autostacker” and say you can put up to 14 cars on one! Imagine that, like a parkin’ garage right in your backyard! But you probably ain’t got 14 cars, unless you’re runnin’ a junkyard or somethin’. But even if you just got two, it could save you some space. They say this “Autostacker” is safe and easy to use, but I bet it costs a pretty penny.

• Space: You need enough room, ya hear? Measure that garage floor and make sure you got enough space to walk around the car once it’s up in the air.
• Ceiling Height: Like I said, gotta be tall enough, at least 10 feet they say. Don’t want your car hittin’ the roof, that’d be a mess.
• Garage Door: Make sure your door is tall enough for the car to go in and out when it’s on the lift.
• Concrete Floor: If you’re gettin’ one of them big lifts, you gotta make sure your floor is strong enough to hold it. No crackin’ or crumblin’ allowed.
• Power: You’ll need electricity to run the lift, so make sure you got an outlet handy.
• Money: These things ain’t cheap, you know. Gotta save up your pennies or maybe sell a few chickens.
