Means the elevator can figure out where it needs to go next, based on how many people are waitin’ on each floor. That lift sensor can sense the presence of people waiting for the lift. It’s all a bit beyond me, but it sure sounds fancy.

But like I said, sometimes these things break. And when they do, it’s a real pain in the neck. You might be waitin’ for the elevator, and it just sits there, doors closed. Or maybe it goes right past your floor. All because that little lift sensor ain’t doin’ its job.
