Alright, let’s talk about this car parking lift thingy for your house, ya know, the thing that lifts your car up. I saw some folks talkin’ about it, so I figured I’d tell ya what I know, or what I heard anyways.

First off, they say this “Autostacker A6S” can hold up a whole 6000 pounds! That’s like, what, two, maybe three of them big ol’ cows? Heck, I don’t know, but it sounds like a lot, right? So, if you got a big truck or somethin’, this thing might just work for ya. They say it’s good for your home garage, and even for them fancy city places too, I guess. Doubles your parking space, they say. Means you can stick two cars where only one used to fit. Now ain’t that somethin’?

Some folks were yappin’ about needing space. Well, duh! You need space for a car, don’t ya? They say you need enough space for one car on the floor, and then you need a high ceiling. Like, 10 feet or more, they say. 10 feet, that’s like, taller than my old man was, bless his soul. And if you got 11 or 12 feet, well, that’s even better, I reckon. If your garage door is in the way, they say you can change it, make it open up higher or somethin’. Sounds like a lot of fuss to me, but hey, if you got the money and the space, why not?

But let me tell ya somethin’, these things ain’t cheap, I bet. Nothin’ good ever is, is it? And you gotta have that space, like I said. And you probably gotta get someone to install it, unless you’re one of them handy types. I ain’t, that’s for sure. I can barely change a lightbulb without electrocutin’ myself.

Here’s what I think, plain and simple. If you got the money, the space, and a real good reason, then maybe, just maybe, a car parking lift is for you. But if you’re like me, just tryin’ to get by, well, you can probably live without it. Just park your car on the ground like everyone else, and be done with it. It’s less trouble, that’s for sure.

But hey, it’s your money, your house, your car. You do what you want. I’m just tellin’ you what I heard, and what I think. Don’t go blamin’ me if you buy one of these things and it don’t work out. You been warned!
