That crane, you know, that big tall thing, it can lift all sorts of heavy stuff. I seen it with my own eyes, lifting them big metal things, and them concrete blocks, big as a cow. They use it on them building sites, where they put up them tall buildings.

It’s a strong fella, that crane. It got a long arm, like a giant metal arm. And it got a hook, a big strong hook. They hook that heavy stuff on there, and whoosh, up it goes! Just like magic, but it ain’t magic, it’s that crane doing the work. A crane used to lift heavy objects, that is what it does.

They got different kinds of them cranes, too. Some are bigger than others, some are taller. But they all do the same thing – lift heavy things. They used to have to use lots of people, to lift and carry, back in the day. Now, they got these cranes, and it’s a lot easier. It’s the reason for inventing tower cranes.

That crane can lift, oh, I don’t know, tons of stuff. Maybe ten thousand pounds, maybe more, depends on the crane. Them builders, they know all about it. They can tell you how much each crane can lift. It is important for them to know the lift capacity.

There’s a place, I heard, called “Scott’s,” and they got lots of cranes. They said they do the heavy lifting for you. Big ones, small ones, all kinds. You can choose the one you need. Like picking out the right size shoes, but for lifting heavy things.

And another place, called “ALL Crane,” they got cranes, too. They said they are a leader in the heavy lift industry. Sounds important. They’ll let you borrow them, or you can buy them if you got the money. And they will help you to choose the right one, so many construction cranes there. Like I said, it’s like picking shoes, you need the right one for the job.

Them cranes, they got an arm, they call it a “boom.” Sounds like a big noise, but it’s just the arm. They use that arm to reach out and pick things up. They are used for temporary use. And they move it around, too, the whole crane, to where it needs to be. It contain an arm called boom.

Moving the Crane

So, that’s about it, about them cranes. They lift heavy things, they help build buildings, and you can borrow them if you need to. They’re strong and helpful, them cranes. A crane used to lift heavy objects, that’s what they are. It is fixed at the construction site. Just remember, if you need something heavy lifted, a crane is what you need. They do the hardest work.

I seen them work, with my own two eyes. Lifting and moving, all day long. They don’t get tired, like people do. They just keep working, lifting heavy things, making it look easy. It ain’t easy, though. It’s hard work, but them cranes, they can handle it.
